First Qur’an Memorization Competition
The Shoura – the Assembly of the Muslim Community of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg – invites you to participate in the first Qur’an Hifz Competition, which will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Nordstad Islamic Cultural Center (CCINS) in Diekirch.
Competition Categories:
1. From Surah Ad-Duha to Surah An-Nas – children up to 10 years old (Mekteb category)
2. Juz’ ‘Amma – children up to 15 years old
3. Juz’ ‘Amma – ages 16 to 25
4. Juz’ Tabarak and Juz’ ‘Amma
5. Surah Al-Baqarah
6. Surahs Al-Baqarah and Aal ‘Imran
Note: Each participant may register and compete in only one category and not in multiple categories simultaneously.
Valuable prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each category, sponsored by the Waqf Lëtzebuerg Foundation. The competition is open to both brothers and sisters.
Registration is mandatory, and the deadline is January 25, 2026. Registrations submitted after this date will not be accepted. Likewise, registrations that do not meet the established criteria—particularly the age requirements—will not be considered.
In all categories where an age limit is indicated as “up to,” that age is inclusive. For example, in the “up to 10 years” category, a child who is 10 years old is eligible to participate.
The competition is reserved for citizens or legal residents of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. The jury will consist of the Muslim Religious Leader and Hafiz imams from Luxembourg.
