Reception in Honor of Prof. Dr. Šefik Kurdić at the Shoura Headquarters in Luxembourg (Gallery)

A reception was held yesterday at 2:00 p.m. at the Shoura headquarters in Luxembourg in honor of the distinguished professor of Hadith, Prof. Dr. Šefik Kurdić, in recognition of his long-standing scientific and religious contribution to the Muslims of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sandžak.

Prof. Dr. Šefik Kurdić is a long-serving professor of Hadith at the Islamic Pedagogical Faculty in Zenica and the author of numerous books and scholarly papers in the field of Hadith and Islamic sciences.

He was welcomed by the religious leader of the Muslims of Luxembourg, Hafiz Hilmija ef. Redžić, the President of the Shoura – the Assembly of the Muslim Community of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Jasmin Jahić, the Vice-President Muhamed Ćeman, and the Secretary General Lukman Aličković. He was accompanied by Hafiz Sead Subašić and the president of the CCIL mosque in Mamer, Salih Ramić.

During the meeting, experiences in community service were exchanged. Discussions also addressed the importance of the role of the Islamic community in facing contemporary social challenges, as well as preserving religious and educational continuity.

During his stay in Luxembourg, Professor Kurdić was also the guest of honor at a formal evening organized at the CCIL mosque in Mamer, on the occasion of the retirement of Halil ef. Ahmetspahić. On that occasion, he expressed his gratitude to Imam Halil for his work and dedication to the community.
