Call for Solidarity: Give Blood, Save Lives! (Video)

The Shoura invites the entire Muslim community, as well as all citizens and residents of Luxembourg, to respond to the urgent appeal of the Luxembourg Red Cross and take part in the blood donation campaign.

The situation is particularly concerning for blood groups A Rh-negative (A−) and O Rh-negative (O−), whose supplies are currently at critically low levels.

The availability of blood products depends entirely on the generosity and commitment of blood donors.

Blood Donation: An Act of Solidarity Encouraged by Islam

Voluntary blood donation is encouraged in Islam, as it contributes to the preservation of human life, one of the fundamental objectives of Sharia.

Allah, the Almighty, says:

“Whoever saves one life, it is as if they had saved all of humanity.” (Qur’an, 5:32)

This verse reminds us of the immense value of every human life and the importance of helping others. Islam encourages kindness, solidarity and the preservation of life, regardless of a person’s religion or origin.

Your blood donation can make the difference between life and death.
