Plenary Meeting of Shoura Members, Mosque Presidents, and Imams

On September 24, 2023, a plenary meeting was held in Luxembourg, bringing together members of the Shoura, mosque presidents, and imams.

The gathering, centered around significant topics concerning the Muslims of the Grand Duchy, commenced with the recitation of the Quran by the Chief Imam of Luxembourg, Hafiz Hilmija ef. Redžić.

Subsequently, Jasmin Jahić, President of the Shoura – Assembly of the Muslim Community of Luxembourg, addressed the assembly, extending greetings to all attendees and presenting the agenda for the meeting.

Many important subjects discussed during the meeting aimed at promoting harmonization and streamlining the operations among the 11 mosques currently affiliated with the Shoura.

There is a steady growth of the Muslim community in Luxembourg across various sectors. Its organizational structure, transparency, and the ability for active mosque members to freely elect their representatives within the Shoura are often cited as a positive example for Muslim organizations in Western Europe.The meeting concluded with a prayer, followed by a communal lunch.
