On Monday, March 10, 2025, the traditional youth iftar organized by the Shoura – the Assembly of the Muslim Community of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg – took place in the reception hall in Limpertsberg.

The President of the Shoura, Jasmin Jahić, welcomed the young attendees with an opening speech.

On behalf of the Shoura’s working group responsible for organizing and coordinating the national youth sector, Damir Dino Adrović addressed the participants.

The leader of the Muslim community in Luxembourg, Hafiz Hilmija ef. Redžić, emphasized in his speech the key role of young people in societal prosperity, stressing their responsibility and potential to shape a better future.
“If we talk about the prosperity of society, then it is you, the youth. If we talk about its strength, it is you. If we talk about knowledge, it is also you. If we talk about freedom, it is still you. Positivity and perspective!” he declared, affirming that young people are the foundation of every successful society.

He particularly highlighted the symbolism of the month of Ramadan, which, according to him, embodies all these values, especially good behavior. “Initiative, dedication, and responsibility – this is what this community expects from you,” he concluded.

Following this, Luxembourgish imams – Hafiz Sead ef. Subašić, Hafiz Anass Doukali, and Hafiz Abdelhakim Badaoui – spoke in French, English, and German. Through examples from the lives of the Prophet’s companions, they sought to help young people understand their role, importance, and responsibility in building the future of the community.

The religious and cultural part of the program featured contributions from Hafiz Edin Matović, Sufjan Mustafić, Mohamed Amouri, Hassan Dyalo, Jusuf Kojić, and Mohamed Alword.
