Visit of the Shoura Delegation to the Embassy of Algeria in Brussels

On Tuesday, 17 February 2026, an official meeting took place between His Excellency, Mohamed El Amine Bencherif, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and the delegation of the Shoura — Assembly of the Muslim Community of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

The Shoura delegation consisted of Muslim Religious Leader in Luxembourg, Hafiz Hilmija Redžić; the Vice-President of the Shoura, Muhamed Ćeman; Shoura member Karim Aknine; and the Secretary General of the Shoura, Lukman Aličković.

The meeting took place in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, marked by mutual introductions and an exchange of views on issues of interest to the Muslim community, institutional cooperation, and the strengthening of relations between community representatives and diplomatic institutions.

A forthcoming visit by the Ambassador to meet with Muslim representatives in Luxembourg is expected in the near future, constituting an important step toward strengthening ties and cooperation.
