Dialogue on Living Together in Luxembourg (Gallery)

On Saturday, June 21, an event entitled “Connect with Shoura: Living our Values in a Shared Society” was organized by the Shoura, in collaboration with the “Association Fraternelle Musulmane de Mersch” (AFMM), primarily aimed at members of the English-speaking community. The goal of the gathering was to create a space for two-way communication, exchange of opinions, and to strengthen the role of the Muslim community within Luxembourg’s diverse societal context.

The program began with a recitation of the Qur’an along with its translation, followed by speeches from Hafiz Anass Doukali and the religious leader, Hafiz Hilmija Redžić, who spoke about the importance of moral values, individual responsibility, and constructive contributions to the community.

The president of the Shoura, Jasmin Jahić, then presented the activities and strategic directions of this key Islamic institution, emphasizing openness to cooperation and the need for active social engagement.

The central part of the event was a panel discussion titled “How Can We Make Luxembourg Better for the Next Generations”, moderated by Jaffer Ahsen. The panel featured Jasmin Jahić, Nida Khan, and Hafiz Anass Doukali. The discussion covered topics such as youth, education, identity, integration, and the Muslim community’s contribution to social development.

The event concluded with informal socializing over refreshments. All attendees were invited to share their suggestions and comments for future activities via a QR code.

This gathering is part of Shoura’s ongoing efforts to contribute—through open dialogue and active participation—to the building of an inclusive and harmonious society in Luxembourg.
