Educational Excursion for Youth – Mannheim, Heidelberg, and Schwetzingen (Gallery)
On Saturday, July 12, 2025, the Shoura successfully organized an educational excursion for young people, which included visits to three historically and culturally significant cities: Schwetzingen, Heidelberg, and Mannheim.
The program began with a tour of Schwetzingen, known for its impressive palace and 18th-century oriental mosque — one of the oldest mosques in Western Europe built for symbolic and cultural purposes. The participants then visited Heidelberg, a university town home to the oldest university in Germany, where they had the opportunity to learn about the city’s academic tradition and cultural heritage.
The visit concluded in Mannheim, a hub of technological innovation and a successful example of the integration of the Muslim community into contemporary German society. Through guided tours, lectures, and informal discussions, the young participants had the chance to exchange ideas, ask questions, and strengthen their sense of community.
The Shoura extends its gratitude to all participants for their interest, their behavior, and their positive energy. Such excursions highlight the importance of investing in younger generations through knowledge, identity, and networking.
