Visit of Worshippers from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Mosques in Luxembourg (Gallery)
On Monday, June 30, 2025, mosques in Luxembourg welcomed a group of around 80 worshippers from Bosnia and Herzegovina, led by the esteemed imam Aljo Cikotić, one of the most well-known and respected imams in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This visit is part of a broader tour through Western Europe, including stops in Bosniak communities and significant landmarks in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Austria.
During their stay in Luxembourg, the delegation visited four mosques: the Islamic Center Medina in Wiltz, the Islamic Cultural Center Nordstad in Diekirch, the Islamic Cultural Center of Luxembourg in Mamer, and the Islamic Center Gazi Isa-beg in Esch-sur-Alzette, which was the final stop of this one-day visit.
In their addresses, the imams and the religious leader emphasized the importance of such visits, as well as the fraternal love and bonds they help to strengthen. At each mosque, the visitors were warmly welcomed, shared a moment of fellowship, and learned about the work and life of the local community. The visit concluded with a shared lunch as a gesture of respect and hospitality.
This gathering once again affirmed the value of connection and cooperation between Muslims in the homeland and those in the diaspora.
May Allah bless this meeting and all those who contributed to its realization.
