Reception of a Delegation from Berlin at the Shoura Headquarters
On Sunday, 14 June 2026, during the morning hours, the Shoura had the honor of welcoming a delegation from Berlin to its headquarters, led by Hafiz Ferid Fijuljanin, Imam of the Sabur Mosque in Berlin. Accompanied by around fifteen members of his community, Hafiz Fijuljanin visited Luxembourg, where the guests had the opportunity to learn about the organization, functioning, and various activities of the Muslim community in the Grand Duchy. This meeting provided a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences regarding mosque management and the challenges faced by Muslim communities within the European context.
The delegation was received by the President of the Shoura, Jasmin Jahić; the Muslim Religious Leader in Luxembourg, Hafiz Hilmija Redžić; the Vice-President, Muhamed Ćeman; and the Secretaries of the Shoura, Damir Adrović and Lukman Aličković. During their stay, the visitors toured the Islamic Cultural Centre of Luxembourg in Mamer and the Gazi Isa-beg Islamic Centre in Esch-sur-Alzette, before continuing their visit to the Nordstad Islamic Cultural Centre in Diekirch and the Medina Islamic Centre in Wiltz. These visits enabled them to gain a deeper understanding of the religious, educational, cultural, and social dimensions of Muslim activities in Luxembourg.
The meeting took place in a warm and fraternal atmosphere, marked by a shared commitment to strengthening ties, continuing exchanges, and developing cooperation between the Muslim communities of Germany and Luxembourg.
