At the invitation of the Ambassador of the Turkish Republic to Luxembourg, Engin Yürüra, a delegation from the Shoura attended a solemn reception marking the centenary of the foundation of the Turkish Republic.
The Shoura delegation consisted of the Muslim religious leader of Luxembourg, Hfz. Hilmija Redžić, and its current vice-president Muhamed Ćeman.
The solemn reception, which was also attended by representatives from Luxembourg’s political, cultural, and social life, took place at the “Cercle Cité” cultural center, in the heart of Luxembourg’s old town.
During this warm meeting, the new Ambassador of the Turkish Republic expressed his satisfaction with the presence of the Shoura delegation at this important anniversary for the Turkish Republic, and expressed the desire to get to know each other better and collaborate more in the near future.
The official part of the program concluded with a public speech by Ambassador Engin Yürüra. In his speech, the Ambassador highlighted the importance of Luxembourg for the Turkish Republic, considering that the Grand Duchy ranks 6th among the most important foreign investors in Turkey. He also emphasized Turkey’s role in resolving the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Finally, he mentioned the ongoing massacre of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.”
